How Bookgush works
A gift that shows someone how deeply they're known.
The people who love your person each choose a real book whose title says what they couldn't put into words. The books come together — at the party, or in a stack you've gathered. Then, on screen, your person discovers every one, and guesses who chose each book before the name, the face, and the message appear.

The Chief Celebrator
That’s you. You create the celebration, invite everyone, and gather the books. Most of your work is done in the first ten minutes.
The Celebrators
The friends and family who love your person. Each one chooses a prompt, picks a book whose title completes it, and records a short video message.
The Honoree
The person being celebrated. They know nothing until the books are in front of them.
The clever part
A book title can say what we can't.
Every Celebrator gets a prompt about the Honoree. They finish it — not with their own words, but with a book whose title completes the thought.
Prompt
Being your friend taught me…
Their book
The Gifts of Imperfection — Brené Brown
“Being your friend taught me the gifts of imperfection.”
Prompt
You make ordinary days feel like…
Their book
Big Magic — Elizabeth Gilbert
“You make ordinary days feel like big magic.”
The book is the message. Every occasion gets its own set of prompts, each written to turn a title into something only that person could have meant.
The reveal
The Honoree picks up a book. They have no idea who it's from.

On the day, the Honoree opens the reveal — best on a desktop, and better still mirrored to the TV, so the whole room can watch it happen.
In front of them is the stack: the books their people chose, some wrapped, some not. They lift one, not knowing whose hands it came from.
They find that same book on the Bookgush shelf and tap it. The prompt appears, finished by the title they're holding, the author's name beneath it. Who knows me this well?
They wonder. They guess. Then they tap Reveal— and a name fades in, a video plays, a note appears. And they feel, maybe for the first time, exactly how seen they are.
Then they reach for the next book.
“She had no idea.”
26 friends. 26 books. 1 reveal.
