What Bookgush is
Bookgush is a celebration platform: a Chief Celebrator invites a group, each Celebrator chooses a book whose title completes a prompt about the Honoree and records a video message, and the Honoree experiences the reveal on screen. Bookgush provides the software — the prompts, submissions, dashboard, and reveal. Bookgush does not sell, ship, wrap, or handle physical books; Celebrators source and deliver their own.
Payment and access
Creating a celebration and gathering submissions is free. Unlocking the reveal requires a one-time plan purchase (currently $59–$199, plus optional add-ons), processed by Stripe. Every plan includes online access to the celebration for at least one year after the reveal date. Access is permanent on the Forever plan or with the Keep it forever upgrade. When an included access window ends, the celebration is taken offline but its contents are preserved; access can be restored by making it permanent. Questions about a purchase, or a request for a refund, can be sent to info@bookgush.com.
Your content
Celebrators and Chief Celebrators own what they submit — videos, notes, photos, and words. By submitting, you give Bookgush permission to store and display that content within your celebration, which is all we use it for. Submit only content you have the right to share, and keep it in the spirit of celebrating someone: no unlawful, hateful, or harassing material. We may remove content that violates these terms.
Our responsibilities and limits
We work hard to make every reveal happen beautifully — it's the entire reason Bookgush exists — and the service is provided as-is, without warranties beyond what the law requires. Bookgush's liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the celebration involved. Bookgush is operated by Emmanuel Thompson in North Carolina, USA, and these terms are governed by North Carolina law.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms as Bookgush grows; the date above always reflects the current version. Questions go to info@bookgush.com — you'll hear back from the founder.
