The short version

Your celebration's videos, notes, and books are private to your celebration. We don't sell your information, we don't show ads, and we only collect what we need to run Bookgush.

What we collect

From Chief Celebrators (account holders):your name, email address, and the details of celebrations you create — the Honoree's name, event date, an optional photo, and an optional shipping address you choose to share with your Celebrators.

From Celebrators:the name they enter, their chosen prompt, book, note, and video message. Celebrators don't create accounts.

Payments: handled entirely by Stripe. Bookgush never sees or stores your card number.

Who can see your celebration

Videos, notes, and books are visible only through your celebration's links. Celebration links are unlisted — they aren't published, indexed, or shared by us. Anyone you give a link to can view what that link shows, so share reveal links thoughtfully. We never make your celebration public, use it in marketing without your written permission, or sell its contents to anyone.

Where it lives

Celebration content is stored with our infrastructure providers (Supabase for data and video storage, Vercel for hosting, Stripe for payments). Access windows follow your plan: at least one year after your reveal, or permanently on the Forever plan or with the Keep it forever upgrade. Expired celebrations are taken offline, not deleted.

Your choices

Chief Celebrators can edit or delete their celebrations from the dashboard at any time; deleting a celebration removes its entries. For anything else — removing a specific video, correcting information, or deleting your account — write to info@bookgush.com and a real person will take care of it.
